Resumen:
Water is a necessary resource for life on earth, therefore, water sources for consumption must
be prioritized in their care and preservation. This research takes as a study area the lagoons of
the upper part of the Milluni micro-watershed, which supply two important cities in Bolivia, La
Paz and El Alto. Various studies have exposed the problem of heavy metal contamination in
Milluni due to mining activity in the area. However, corrective actions have not yet been taken
to reduce the risk to public health and ecosystems. This study aims to identify possible future
temperature and precipitation scenarios for Milluni and to observe the repercussion of the
impact of the change on the area's water resources. The main result of this research is to
generate specific information on the study area, which facilitates decision-making to address
Milluni's water problems.
