Long-Acting Antiretroviral Therapies vs. Conventional Oral Regimens in HIV: A Systematic Review

Abstract

Background: Long-acting antiretroviral therapies (ARV-LA) have emerged as an alternative to daily oral regimens for the management of HIV. This systematic review evaluates the efficacy, safety, and patient satisfaction of ARV-LA, particularly focusing on cabotegravir (CAB-LA) and rilpivirine (RPV-LA), in comparison to standard oral antiretroviral therapies (ART).
